I’ve been really busy.  As much as I like traveling and seeing friends at all of these weddings, I’ve felt like my head’s been on a swivel for the past month and a half.

I have a whole backlog of journal entries to finish and post.  I have a ton of pictures that I’m still processing from all of these weddings and gatherings.  There’s a couple of freelance jobs that I haven’t been able to finish.  There’s tons of folks I need to email.  My room’s a mess.

It’s been that way for a while

I guess the hardest thing is to really manage my time, and to realize that it isn’t just my own.  I’ve noticed that time is a resource that I’ve tightened my grip on.  A friend said something once that I really resonated with.  He said:  How a person spends his or her free time is a huge indication of who they are and what their lives stand for.  For that’s the space that we make the choice of priority.

I get this feeling that I’m around but not really.  Hmm.  I have a lot to think about, and (I feel) a lot to simplify.  Summer’s beginning, and soon, the change of Fall will be here.  I’ve got to get ready for it.

About

orange on olive Chiafrica / Beautiful Elephant is my little web journal that I started for my trip to Sierra Leone. I spent 4 months with Word Made Flesh in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

I'm continuing to write about life as I search for truth and beauty. Thanks for stopping by. If you want to go back in time, check out: the ichef academy is dead.
